Climbing is a sport that anyone can enjoy regardless of age or gender. Using all of the muscles in your body, climbing builds flexibility and muscular endurance. Also, the moderate exercise and focus used in climbing can help relieve stress. Our experienced staff at Big Rock is here to help first-timers and those with little climbing experience; so feel free to drop by and check out our facilities.

Climbing School Information
Indoor School
From those with no climbing experience to intermediate and advanced climbers looking to improve their climbing, we have lessons* to fit your level.
*A Separate gym use fee and reservation is required for lessons.
Trail Lessons
Aimed at first-time climbers, a trail lesson focuses on the basic rope skills necessary for climbing.
2,100 yen/1 hour lesson. Equipment rental included.
Bouldering Lessons
For climbing that does not require a rope, this lesson focuses on climbing movement.
2,100 yen/1 hour lesson. Equipment rental included.
One Point Lessons
Lessons focused on a specific, technical aspect of climbing made clear and requested by the student.
2,100 yen/1 hour lesson. Equipment rental included.
Outdoor School
We hold classes at the seasonal crags of the great outdoors. These are one-day schools so join in freely (lessons on safety are priority number one).
For each day's program please refer to the posted Schedule.
School Rates: 10,000 - 15,000 yen
Outdoor Club
The outdoor club is based on a month to month membership acceptance basis. Including two Outdoor lessons and three indoor lessons a month, it is a package for beginners in which you will acquire the knowledge and skills needed for climbing. Club Dues: 18,000 Yen/month

Transportation to Gym
The gym is a one minute walk from the Shinmeishamae (神明社前) bus stop.
Bus Route #3 from the East exit of Tsunashima（綱島）station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line. (10 minute bus ride to Shinmeishamae)
Bus Route #3 from the West exit of JR Tsurumi (鶴見) station on the keihintohoku line. (12 minute bus ride to Shinmeishamae)
